Christmas Card

I've been trying to figure out what I'll be doing on my Christmas cards this year.

I was playing around with this design, it needs something though....Ideas?

HAPPY MAIL DAY!

Going to the mailbox was such a treat today!

I got 3 DTP swap cards, my people magazine, and a card from a friend who sent me one of my own creations back. How cool is that? (I gave her a pail of cards as a gift for her birthday.)

The two Fall colored cards are from Sheryl and Trish. The pinwheel card is from Heidi and the friends card is the one I made.

Brand New World

I've had an awful time getting motivated lately. I started this page for a challenge I was going to enter, but then didn't get it done in time. It just wasn't right. My friend Donna came over and gave me a few pointers and taught me the polished stone technique, so I made part of a border from that. The challenge was to use turqouise, teal, and cream. I have all these baby pictures for my little GIRL and had a rough time making it girlie, but Donna definitely helped. What do you all think?

I really need to get motivated on the card front too. I sit in the craft room at the table and just stare. I start to get an idea and then it disappears, or doesn't look right when I'm finished! Ugh!
I think I really need to say "No" occassionally, but it's really hard for me! Right now I'm deep into the March of Dimes Signature Chef auction and it's been keeping me busy at my real job and after hours. It's a wonderful cause and I really love doing it. I'm working on the programs currently. SU actually sent this HUGE box to donate as a prize and I put it all in a basket last night. It is OVERFLOWING! Once I get it looking pretty, I'll take a picture. They donated a full set of watercolor pencils and crayons. Thirteen stamp sets, all kinds of accessories, stamp ink, chalk, just loads of stuff. I've been asking anyone that wants to make a SU card to put in the basket to please send those to me. I'll provide the envelope. I've been including some of my DTP swaps, etc. That way there are samples in the basket as well. I'm hoping it won't go for much so I can purchase it!!! hahaha

Calling all you Crafty stampers and Blog Candy seekers out there! I am putting together a shoebox (or more!) of RAK cards to send to a family in need of some prayers and uplifting. Friends, Michael & Alissa and son Isaiah, have twin baby girls (3 months old now) that have been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma Stage 4S. The large cancerous tumor is in their abdomens. Both girls are undergoing chemotherapy treatments at Children’s Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Michael & Alissa have shown amazing faith and strength in dealing with this heartbreaking event in their lives. To encourage them and to let them know that there are people all over praying for them, I decided to put together Blog Candy for a Cause. Non SU Cards

I made some cards last night for two friends going through polar experiences.

One is a brand new baby (13 pounds, 11 ounces!) and the other lost her father tragically on Monday night. Both are dear people to me and my heart goes out to them both.

While doing the cards, I figured out that I don't own any baby or sympathy stamps!!! There goes my wish list growing. =)

SO these aren't SU totally, but all card stock, ink, ribbon is of course.

Louisville Regionals

Wow what fun! My very first SU event held right here in my backyard! I was able to meet some fantastic women and see my sweet friend Teresa.
I loved all the make and takes, and my upline (Sharon Dungan) even got to go on stage and do a presentation! She did great. I was so very proud for her.

We have a wonderful friend that has a side business of cooking BBQ.


He hand made his grill and everything. I think he's about to make it big so I had him come cater a party we did last weekend. He cooked so much meat everyone had some to take home and there were 47 people there!!! We had beef, chicken, and venison.


Anyway, here's a card I made to thank him. Everything is SU except for the ribbon, but it was too cute not to add. =)
